What Every Immigrant
Needs To Know

This 45-page guidebook provides practical information about living and succeeding in the U.S. Offered in Spanish and English, the guide contains 170 essentials covering health, finances, housing, education, civic engagement, laws, and social values. The guide seeks to build cultural understanding and provide immigrants and refugees with critical information in one convenient place to ease the integration process.

As components of the guide, a Living in the U.S. workshop and Teacher Handbook are available to provide opportunities for structured interaction, discussion and English learning using the guide as the foundation.

At a cost of $1 to $3 per copy the guide is an efficient investment that spreads valuable and concrete information that impacts education, the economy, our safety and human relations. All proceeds benefit Intercambio, a nonprofit whose mission is to build respectful communities and broaden opportunities for immigrants through language education, cultural exchange and friendship.
